DIDDY TRIVIA:  FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS TO LIFE

Like Aaron Hernandez, before him-- It took us a while to replace OJ, but at last we found the right guy.
Introducing Diddy Trivia.  While Diddy gets ready for his break out tour, he still has time for some good ole NFL Trivia!!

Last week's
question is, "Which team was the first in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a four-year span?

The Dallas Cowboys were the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a four-year span. The Dallas Cowboys accomplished this feat in the 1990s, winning Super Bowl XXVII (1993 season), Super Bowl XXVIII (1994 season), and Super Bowl XXX (1996 season). This run cemented their dynasty under head coach Jimmy Johnson (for the first two titles) and later Barry Switzer (for the third). No team before them had managed to capture three Lombardi Trophies in just four years, making the Cowboys the first to achieve this historic milestone.

Why not the other options? San Francisco 49ers: They won four Super Bowls in the 1980s, but never three within a four-year span. Their titles came in 1981, 1984, 1988, and 1989. New England Patriots: They later matched the feat in the 2000s, winning three Super Bowls in four years (2001, 2003, 2004), but they were not the first. Green Bay Packers: They won the first two Super Bowls (1966, 1967) but never three in four years.

This week brings an end to this season's trivia.  We are not sure if Diddy will be returning next season for trivia as his sentence is pending.  Don't worry kids, we did recieve an application from Antonio Brown, who knows what the future holds when it comes to OFFL Trivia!  Thanks again for your patronage.

This week's checklist:

1.  Owners will receive payment info once the accounting has been verify after the regular season.  Pete will send out Venmo info.

2.  On a related note, owners please double check you tranaction report as the Commissioner has to manually manage the weekly payouts.
It doesn't hurt to double check him to make sure he didn't fat thumb something...

3.  New Owners Take Note-- If you end up the League Winner, the Commissioner will make you a cool helmet trophy (comes out of Pete's pocket).
The only stipulation is that you have to defend your title the following season in order to receive the trophy.

Final Week of the Regular Season:  Here is what the playoff race looks like...

Hoffnuts (12&0 in Central) - One seed with a first round playoff bye.
R2R (11&1 in East) - Two seed with a first round playoff bye.

PTSD (6&6 in West) - Third seed facing the six seed in round one.
Romo (8&4 in Central) - Four seed, would face 5th seed,
Fanatics (7&5 in East) - Five seed vs four in first round.

Balbusters - Six seed / Wildcard - with the highest points for, 668pts currently.

The first three, Hoff/R2R/PTSD are officially locked in.
A Fanatics loss with and NY Gangster win could lead to a five seed change depending on points forced.
A Ballbuster's win with a Romosexual loss could change the four seed.
If the Ballbusters were to move from the wildcard to a five seed, then  you would have Gangsters, Gators, and Romo slugging it out as the likely favorites.  White no one is mathematically out, most of the others would need a 100pt game at the very least.

Good luck.

Leftover Holiday Ham Sliders

Ingredients
1/2 cup Mike's hot honey
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp dried thyme
1/4 cup brown sugar
9 King's Hawaiian Slider Buns
8-12 oz. leftover smoked ham
9 slices of Swiss cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp salt

Tools
All-Purpose Foil Pans
Basting brush
Knife

Directions

To make the glaze, start by melting the butter in a small pot over medium heat.  Whisk in hot honey and brown sugar until dissolved.  Add in Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, thyme, and salt, and whisk again.  Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

Preheat smoker/grill to 300°F.

Separate the top and bottom buns. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom buns, then a generous layer of the honey mustard sauce you made earlier on the other half of the buns.

Layer slices of smoky leftover ham on the bottom buns.  Lay Swiss cheese on each slider. Lay the top buns back onto the sliders.

Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and thyme.

Place the sliders into an aluminum pan before placing them on the grill.

Place the aluminum pan on the top shelf of your smoker or any shelf in a vertical smoker. Allow the sliders to cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melty and the tops of the buns are lightly toasted.  Slice the sliders and serve warm.
