DIDDY TRIVIA:  FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS TO LIFE

Like Aaron Hernandez, before him-- It took us a while to replace OJ, but at last we found the right guy.
Introducing Diddy Trivia.  While Diddy gets ready for his break out tour, he still has time for some good ole NFL Trivia!!

Last week's
question is, "Which NFL team was the first to win a playoff game after finishing the regular season with a losing record?"

The Seattle Seahawks were the first NFL team to win a playoff game after finishing the regular season with a losing record.  In the 2010 NFL season, the Seahawks finished with a 7–9 record, yet won the NFC West division. Despite their losing record, they hosted a Wild Card playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.

The Seahawks pulled off a stunning 41–36 victory, highlighted by Marshawn Lynch’s legendary 67-yard “Beast Quake” touchdown run, which became one of the most iconic plays in NFL history. Before the Seahawks, several teams had reached the playoffs with losing records (e.g., the 1982 Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions due to a strike-shortened season), but none had ever won a playoff game. The Seahawks’ victory set a precedent, showing that even a sub-.500 team could make noise in the postseason.

This week's question, ""Which NFL team was the first to win a Super Bowl after entering the playoffs as a No. 6 seed?"

a.  Seattle Seahawks
b.  Pittsburgh Steelers
c.  NY Giants
d.  Kansas City Chiefs

This week's winners will be flown to Tampa for the world premier of "THE LOSING INFERNO."  The story of two men who lost it all from a Fantasy Football perspective.

The only thing the Gangsters managed to rob last week was their manager’s dignity — and even that was a low‑scoring heist." “The Midnight Riders came galloping into Week 9… but their horses must’ve been on bye week too. Daniel Jones and Bo Nix were stuck at the starting line, Justin Jefferson was chilling in Minnesota, and half the wide receivers were either injured or missing like headlights in the dark.

This week's checklist:

1a.  Read the Rules... Read the Rules... Read the Rules.
1b.
New Owners Take Note-- If you end up the League Winner, the Commissioner will make you a cool helmet trophy (comes out of Pete's pocket).

The only stipulation is that you have to defend your title the following season in order to receive the trophy.

2.  TRADE DEADLINE HAS PASSED

3.  It is the responsibility of all owners to update their roster for Thursday (Fri/Sat) games.  The remainder of the roster locks in at 12:59am on
Sunday.  This includes the Sunday late game players and Monday night players.  Remember, total points come into play later in the season...
Not only for the Wild Card, divisional tie breakers too!  We play for 4-quarters gentlemen.

4.  Available Apps for MyFantasyLeague (MFL)
       a.  OFFL Game Day for PC, GAMEDAY APP. Use League ID 56409.
       b.  MFL Premium for iPhone.  League ID 56409.
       c.  MFL Platinum for Android.  League ID 56409.

FIVE GUYS 50-YEAR BURGER FINANCING

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Inspired by the Trump White House's move toward 50-year mortgages, popular burger chain Five Guys announced it would be addressing the ongoing "Five Guys Affordability Crisis" with convenient 50-year burger financing. "We get it. Things are expensive, especially our burgers," the company said in a public press release. "But new burger financing options make our menu more accessible to the average consumer than ever. Sign up for 10-year, 30-year, or even 50-year financing options. No credit check required!" Economists urged customers not to sign up for Five Guys' burger financing program, warning that the interest alone will amount to $10,000. "It doesn't hurt as much up front, but this is really just a price hike disguised as a discount," warned economic expert Paul Krugman.

Five Guys CEO Jerry Murrell, the first of the five guys, dismissed concerns that he was conning consumers and argued that their burger financing options adhere to the Wimpy code. "J. Wellington Wimpy from ‘Popeye' simply wanted to pay people Tuesday for a hamburger today," Murrell explained. "This is the same principle. We'll gladly give you a burger today, and you can gradually pay it off for the rest of your life." Despite expert concerns, however, customers were already flocking to Five Guys, with diners slowly realizing that the typical person doesn't buy one burger over the course of their life, they buy several hundred. "One burger costs a lot if you pay for it all at once, but I can spread that cost out over several decades," said local burger consumer Tony Hart. "But that's the future's problem. I'll let my grandkids deal with it." At publishing time, Five Guys opened a new division within their company seeking full-time repo men to handle customers who fall behind on their burger payments.

1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Turkey
1 whole turkey (12–16 lb.)
6 tbsp salted butter, softened
1½ cups pineapple juice, in a spray bottle

Special Equipment
butcher's twine
instant-read thermometer
spray bottle Instructions

This recipe calls for a bit of planning, but the results speak for themselves: beautifully burnished skin, deep layers of smoky flavor, and meat so juicy it practically carves itself.

Stir the salt and sugar with 1 gallon of water in a large bowl or container until mostly dissolved. Add the remaining brine ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 days to let the flavors meld.

Place the turkey in a large food-safe container. Strain the chilled brine over the turkey, making sure it’s completely submerged. Cover and refrigerate for 12–14 hours (see recipe tips).

Remove the turkey from the brine and pat dry with paper towels. For crispier skin, refrigerate the turkey uncovered for 6–12 hours.

In a small bowl, combine the butter with 3 tbsp of the rub until smooth.

Gently separate the skin from the breast and legs with your fingers, being careful not to tear it. Rub the compound butter under the skin and over the exterior of the bird.

Tuck the wings underneath the bird and tie the legs together with kitchen twine. Lightly dust the entire turkey with the rub. Let the turkey sit at room temperature for 30 minutes while you prepare the grill.

Prepare the grill for Indirect, Low & Slow cooking at 275°F using the snake method.

Place a foil drip pan filled halfway with water in the center of the charcoal grate. Line the perimeter with two rows of briquettes, stacking a second row on top. Add wood chunks near the beginning of the snake. Light with 8–10 lit briquettes. Adjust the vents to maintain 275°F. Place the turkey, breast-side up, over the drip pan. Close the lid and cook, spraying the turkey with pineapple juice after the 1st hour, and every 30 minutes after that.

Cook until the thickest part of the breast reaches 155°F and the thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°F. This will take about 20–25 minutes per pound.

Remove the turkey and let rest for 1 hour before carving.

Recipe Tips If you don’t have a large enough container for your turkey, you can use can purchase a brine bag specifically for the purpose of containing a whole turkey. To save space in your refrigerator, place the brining turkey in a cooler with plenty of ice.
