One kid stood up and said ‘God takes people by the feet.’ The teacher inquired for an explanation and the kid said that she walked in on her parents and found her mother’s legs lifted up in the air while screaming ‘God I’m coming’   Homemade Corn Dogs Ingredients 1 cup cornmeal 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup milk 2 large eggs 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 8 hot dogs 8 wooden skewers Vegetable oil for frying Instructions: Prepare the Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.   Prepare the Hot Dogs: Pat the hot dogs dry with paper towels. Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog, leaving about 2 inches of the skewer as a handle. Heat the Oil: Pour vegetable oil into a large pot or deep fryer to a depth of about 2 inches. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).  Dip and Fry: Dip each hot dog into the batter, making sure it is completely coated. Carefully place the coated hot dog into the hot oil. Fry a few corn dogs at a time, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, about 3-4 minutes. Drain: Remove the corn dogs from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.  Dipping Sauce Ideas:  Classic Ketchup and Mustard: Always a crowd-pleaser.  Spicy Mayo: Mix mayonnaise with a bit of sriracha or hot sauce. Cheese Sauce: Warm, melty cheese sauce pairs perfectly with corn dogs.
