We heard that the Juice needed some work to cover his green fees since becoming a free man in 2021.  Given the OFFL's long history of supporting retired athletes, we are here to help with trivia provided by O.J. Simpson.  Last week's question, "Who was the first-ever defensive player to win the Super Bowl MVP award?  The answer is Chuck Howley.

Chuck Howley became the first defensive player to win the Super Bowl MVP award in 1971. Howley and the Dallas Cowboys lost Super Bowl V to the Baltimore Colts, 16 to 13. Chuck had two interceptions in the game and also forced a fumble. He also became the first non-QB to win the award and is the only player to win the award on a losing team.

This week's question is "Which team did Jerry Rice play his last career game for?"

a.  SF 49ners
b.  OAK Raiders
c.  SEA Seahawks
d.  DEN Broncos

This week's winners will recieve a copy of this year's number one best-selling non-fiction story, "Season of Loss."  A beautiful account of a fantasy owner's fall from grace and the strength to recover from the foul smell of one terrible team, The Fighting Fish.  Neflix is said to be looking at turning this book into a movie.  Charlie Sheen is rumored to be in the lead to play Robert Hernandez.

A very quiet week with a few observations.

     -  The Falcons bench Ridder the same day Commissioner Purvis leaves Atlanta.
     -  McDaniels gets fired the night Commissioner Purvis preseents Rob Hernandez with this 2022 Trophy in Las Vegas.
           Coincidence?  I think not.
     -  The Midnight Riders have no place for Devon Achane jokes.  Neither funny nor accurate.  Commissioner may issues fines.
     -  Two teams seem have turned down the volume in the last two weeks.
NY Gangsters have been silent.  This is an admission of guilt... Jimmy is feeling guilty as his first place status in the East isn't deserved and he knows it.
Mr.Hoffnuts has the same points season-to-date as the next to last place, Mean Machine.  I would be quiet too.
     -  Dawgs, Fanatics, and Mean Machine Chins Up! Using Machine as an example, a gain of 36 points places them in the wild card. An easy task for any of these
teams with 5 weeks go to go.

Zack's Fun Facts of the Week

Broncos beat the Chiefs for the first time since Week 2, 2015. By passer rating, Mahomes’ two worst career games have come against the Broncos.

Jaguars currently have the longest active win streak (5).

Tyreek Hill (1,014 receiving yards) is the 4th player to reach 1000+ receiving yards in his team’s first 8 games, the fastest in 62 years.

Christian McCaffrey has never played a game (healthy) where he has not scored a TD or had 100+ yards.

When accounting for sacks, the Giants had -9 passing yards.

Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Tua Tagovailoa are on pace to surpass Dak Prescott’s league-leading 15 INTs from last season.

Will Levis has more TDs on the year than Ryan Tannehill.

Vikings scored their first rushing TD of the season.

Giants became just the 7th team since the merger to punt 13 times in a game; Jets and Giants combined for 24 punts which is the most in a game since 2003.

Timeline-wise, we are 28% of the way through Deshaun Watson’s contract.

Jimmy Garoppolo leads the NFL in INTs even though he’s missed 2 games.

Lions are the 2nd seed and have the 4th easiest strength of schedule for the rest of the season

Sony's Best Wireless Earbuds and Headphones Are on Sale Right Now

Sony's WH-1000XM5 and WF-1000XM5 are some of the best-sounding headphones on the market and now they're both available with a sizable discount.  If you're in the market for some high-end wireless headphones or ANC earbuds, you really do need to consider what Sony has to offer before making a purchase anywhere else.

The WH-1000XM5 and WF-1000XM5 are among the best you can buy, and right now you can get your hands on a pair of either with a fairly considerable discount.  That discount comes via Amazon, with the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones now just $330 (down from $400) and the WFH-1000XM5 earbuds yours for just $250 (down from $300) if you act quickly. Amazon hasn't said when either of these deals will come to an end, so you should consider ordering now if you want to make sure you lock in these discounted prices.  Both of these offer active noise cancellation and long battery life, but there are other options if you'd rather spend a little less.

The Sony WH-CH720N are a solid choice and are just $98 today -- a big saving over the $150 you'd normally pay.  Looking for cheaper earbuds than the premium WFH-1000XM5? The Sony LinkBuds S are discounted by $72 today, making them just $128. While their sound and noise canceling don't quite measure up to the XM5's, they're still a solid set of earbuds.  Keep in mind that not all colors are always part of these deals so double-check the price before you add anything to your cart. There are other deals to be had on the Sony audio page on Amazon, so make sure to peruse them all before making your choice.

TAILGATING WITH MISTRESS BIANCA

Slow Cooker Brisket Sliders with Aioli Slaw

Slow Cooker Brisket Sliders with Aioli Slaw take a game-day classic to the next level. Let the slow cooker do all the work preparing the flavorful barbecue beef brisket, then whip up a garlicky homemade slaw for dolloping on top.

Ingredients, Brisket Sliders:
2-3 pounds beef brisket
½ cup barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
18 slider buns

Ingredietns, Slaw:
⅓ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
3 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
16 ounces (1 package) coleslaw mix (cabbage/carrot)

Instructions
Place brisket in slow cooker. Coat with barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours.

While brisket cooks, prepare the slaw. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, yogurt, oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Add the coleslaw mix and toss until well combined.

When brisket is done cooking, allow to cool slightly, then trim fat and slice on the grain.

To assemble sliders, place a few slices of brisket on the bottom halves of all slider buns. Top each with a spoonful of slaw and top halves of buns. Serve warm.
